  1. Cool. I usually fully boil my potatoes first (30 minutes) and bake them for 1.5 hours at 200 deg C. I like really soft insides–just like Mum used to make. To get crispy outsides, she used to shake them on a wire sieve before baking — just to rough up the outside. Mind, my baked potatoes are nothing smaller than half the original potato. I’ll add some baking soda to the boil mix from now on.
